Kathmandu required a motion picture brand piece to complement, and be shot alongside, their existing catalogue. Over three and a half weeks Frankham worked alongside photographer Julian Apse, in the Sahara Desert and 300 metres up a vertical granite wall to create a unique video that would picture Kathmandu product be used to its greatest extent.
The Adventure Morocco project followed a group of travellers through Morocco from the Sahara to the sea, across the Atlas Mountains by any means possible. They hiked, biked, rode camels, climbed and travelled off-road in four-by-fours in a thrills-and-spills adventure.
And then in post-production the footage was cut to a variety of different formats from a one-hour commercial television documentary, to DVD featurettes and webisodes for delivery over OE.tv - all from the same high defintion digital footage.
It will be broadcast on Prime Television in a Saturday 7.30pm slot later in the year and also on The Documentary Channel. Music provided by Loop.
