Starship Millennium Voyage
2001 / Worldwide
Director James Frankham
Producer Michael Poliza

On September 17, 1998 the 75 ft vessel STARSHIP left Bell Harbor in Seattle, Washington USA on a 1000 day educational circumnavigation around our planet. Daily journal entries permit anybody who would like to share this adventure to follow the crew around the world. After launching in July 98, STARSHIP made its first expedition in August heading north into British Columbia. The project was initiated by the German magazine STERN and Michael Poliza and is supported by some of the finest companies in the world.

The STARSHIP seeks to document the state of our planet at the end of this Millennium and share its discoveries with millions of people around the globe via satellite and the World Wide Web. With photographers and filmmakers onboard, the STARSHIP is traveling to many extremely remote places that can only be reached by ship.
