ADVENTURE NORTHERN TERRITORY

The second production for Kathmandu, this time in partnership with Tourism Northern Territory. Coinciding with Kathmandu's 2008/9 Summer Catalogue, the Adventure Northern Territory project followed a group of travellers across the Australian continent from Alice Springs in the red centre to Darwin on the northern coast. Five clips were cut in high definition for Tourism-NT's YouTube channel and syndication to international media outlets. More information >
ADVENTURE MOROCCO
2007 / Morocco
An all-media production coinciding with the photography on Kathmandu's 2007/8 Summer Catalogue, the Adventure Morocco project followed a group of travellers through Morocco from the Sahara to the sea, across the Atlas Mountains by any means possible. They hiked, biked, rode camels, climbed and travelled off-road in four-by-fours in a thrills-and-spills adventure. One-hour documentary for Television New Zealand about the experience of Afghan refugees aboard the Tampa, the new home they found in New Zealand, and follows the remarkable quest of their families to join them. Through the prism of their journey, the documentary examines the political context of the refugee crisis facing our world. As Media Specialist aboard the expedition vessel MS Starship, James Frankham travelled to more than 25 countries, filming and editing all the way.
